This is a good little photo frame for this price range. It has lots of features and the menus are easy to maneuver. Once you have set the light and contrast settings the pictures look pretty good. We enjoy using the frame. It is a good size for using on a desk.
I know a video review is not ideal since the resolution gets changed when uploading to this web site, and just taking a picture of something that’s lighted like this leaves something to be wanted, but I wanted to give everyone many idea of the features. The photos really look better in person for many reason. I think it is like taking a photo of a TV screen, it never looks as good. As an example, the menus are not really readable on the video but they are easy to read in person.
I hope this helps you in making a choice on this frame.

The Coby “DP702 7 Inch Widescreen Digital Photo Frame” isn’t a high end multi media device, and nor is it priced like one. This frame is a low cost, but feature rich device that gives you many functionality for little money. It’s, in fact, a real bargain!
Here are my observations:
Pros
Satisfactory picture quality FOR THE PRICE
The wood grain frame is attractive
Included Remote Control
Accepts a large range of memory cards SD, MMC, MS, xD, and CF card slots, also as USB for flash memory drives
Plays pictures in Slide Show, Audio Files, and Videos
Slide show starts automatically if no buttons are pressed when the device is powered on
Sound is decent through fitted speakers
Cons
Menu is a little hard to navigate
Not really practical to hang on a wall caused by the power cord
No interior memory but memory cards are cheap, see SanDisk one GB Secure Digital SD Card SDSDB 1024, Bulk Package for example
So, this INEXPENSIVE frame isn’t perfect and has somewhat marginal picture quality, but I really think that this one of the rare cases where you get more than you pay for. There are better frames available, but you’ll surely pay more for them also.
Recommended, but only if you are aware of that you’re purchasing a value priced device with many restrictions.

I find this to be a decent picture frame. Recognized my Sony USB flash drive and went into slideshow mode some seconds after plugging it into the frame with no problem. Firstly, I thought the picture quality was awful, but upon more investigation, found the default settings for sharpness and saturation were at 0 once I went into settings and increased them, the picture quality improved to a point that I’m content with the quality. No, it is not the best resolution, but good enough to take pleasure in the memories and not be obsessed with pixelation. Pictures not the standard size have a tendency to get cropped. The smaller pictures have all gotten focused. You may be able to change the length of time pictures stays on screen throughout slideshow. You may also listen to music simultaneously you view the slideshow if you have audio files loaded onto the same drive as the pictures, the music will start playing automatically. This is where the frame starts having trouble it looks it is having a hard time processing all the activity now. When I viewed slideshow with music together, frequently the audio track could skip or sound staticky or the frame could black out for a couple of seconds. There’s a way to turn music off/pause while looking at slideshows, so you do not have to listen to it all day since the playlist repeats. There’s glare to the screen based on from which angle you view the frame. The best angle to view it from is either directly in front or somewhat above the frame. You may be able to use the frame as a music player, or a wall clock with calendar while not looking at pictures. The volume may be adjusted to a comfy level. The frame also has an alarm feature which automatically uses the highest volume setting despite of where you have the volume set for music, so watch out! The alarm sound, in case you are interested, is a deep bell tone, followed by “cuckoo” repeat. One thing I wish the frame had was a way to control which folders on your flash/memory drive the frame will go into to pull pictures from. As it’s, it will pull from every folder there’s, if you have a folder with pictures for an office document with the family pictures, you just have a good a chance at watching charts and graphs go by as your family members. That means, your card you use for this frame must be Exclusively dedicated to pictures you want on the frame unless you do not mind the other stuff popping up.
The most hard part is remembering which buttons to press to get to the right menu screens you have to change settings! you will most likely have to do many digging around in the manual to understand how to do everything you want. Once you get everything set and forget about it for a couple months, you will come back to the frame and realize you have to learn how to work it all over again, so keep your manual useful. This frame may drive the nitpickers crazy, but I just let it go in the background and forget about the little blips for the most part while I am doing other tasks. If you may be able to do the same, it is not a bad frame.
