The counter is tough and works just as projected. But without having a glass on top, it’s hard to get certain things to fit. Ex. I tried to set my Directv receiver on it non DVR. It’s too small and wont fit well. Then I put my old DVD player on it and the legs on the buttom of the DVD player interfer with the legs of the counter. I can push it back, but it does not sit . My new DVD player which is compact and small does not really fit either and just does not look right. Perfect for big AV parts.
The counter could work well for big things, but for compact things it is not focused, or is just plain hard to fit.
No exactly what you plan to put on it.
But it was easy to install and it’s tough. Can hold heavy or stacking things.
It could be perfect if:
1. It had a glass/ plastic counter to set on the mount.
2. It did not stick out as much.

I looked at A/V part shelving alternatives, but for anybody who owned glass in their home, they know it is a ROYAL P.I.T.A. To keep clean. Most of what is available is glass, and I just did not want to deal with that BS again. So I got these instead to mount ABOVE my new 50″ Samsung plasma and hold my digital set top box from Comcast, my home theater receiver, and my VHS/DVD rw combo unit in my bedroom.
I could post a pic, but I am too lazy.
All I can say is, they’re built well, and they have been installed for over a month already and I am happy with the simplicity they offer of just keeping the devices up high and off the ground and out of the way.

I love this counter, it hangs nicely on the wall and holds everything.
I set my Directv HD Receiver model H21 on it.
Everything was as supposed to be.
Overall, I’m happy with this product.
