    lg bd300 network does improve the image of a standard DVD when displayed on an HDTV. It certainly doesn’t compare with true HD, but it’s definitely better than a standard player. The remote is a little disappointing. Small, and a few buttons with dual purpose, which is kind of annoying. Also lacks an open/closebutton, which means you have to use the one on the unit and wait for the tray to open.

    sony dvp fx820 is easy setup and easy to use. Using the upscale setting and a standard DVD with TV at 720p, the picture is bright and beautifully detailed. Much better picture than I had expected. I definitely recommend this player. It is thinner but a bit wider than my last player, so be sure it will fit your allotted space..
