D Link’s DWL P50 Power over Ethernet adapter enables both power and data may be transmitted to any non PoE Ethernet device that’s deployed up to 328 feet 100m away. Using standard Ethernet cabling connected to a 802.3af PoE midspan switch or PoE injector unit, the DWL P50 is able of receiving data and power to any 5V or 12V network device with virtually no reduction in data throughput.

Item came without the power unit that my 1st PoE had. Without the plug in AC adapter, there is no power and it does not work. Should have been made aware that there was another part to purchase because this is useless without a way to offer power to it.
